MANDRN Bags was founded by Canadian, Kelly Kong. In 2018, she packed her Vancouver life up and sought a new life in Bali. Once there, she quickly realized With her new lifestyle, that there were no easy-to-grab bags that worked for varying activities and lasted longer than a couple of weeks.
Empowered by her new community and ever-changing surroundings, she created her first prototype, now known as The Remy Bag. From here the dream of hands-free, easy breezy living really started and continues to inspire all parts of their business. The name MANDRN came from the Chinese mandarins familiar to Kelly's upbringing. It was always a holiday tradition to look for mandarin oranges inside her Christmas stockings; MANDRN represents the beautiful simplicity, lightness and happiness that this sweet citrus memory brings.
From the start, every bag has been made with an uncompromising approach to people first and slowly made practices that could last a lifetime; Each design is made consciously in a timeless style. They're handmade by local artisans, using only the highest quality Javanese & Mexican leather; and every artisan and team member is fairly compensated.
